JCB is a family business named after its founder Joseph Cyril Bamford, producing distinctive yellow- and-black engineering vehicles, diggers and excavators. JCB in India is a fully owned subsidiary of JC Bamford Excavators Limited, UK. It has three manufacturing plants in India; one in Ballabgarh and two plants in Pune. When this factory first opened Ballabhgarh in 1979 it was a small, low volume manufacturing facility. Today it is the largest backhoe loader factory in the world.
- Worked as an Senior Engineer in (Production-Fabrication shop and Assembly line). My core responsibility handling the fabrication activities of the Robotics welding , Manual welding , Sub-assembly and main assembly of backhoe loader fabrication parts like Chassis (Main Frame) , Loader Arm , Boom & Dipper.
- Along with the production activities I also carry out the preparation of all standard documents like work instruction, Method time, task sequence .
- Responsible for man management of crane operators , Mig welders , Robot Operators in terms of work instructions , training , guidelines , directions , Shift planning , as per organization requirement.
- Responsible for collaboration with cross-functional teams (Quality , maintenance , paint shop, PDI) to streamline workflows as per project requirement and organization needs.
- Responsible for Mentoring to subordinates on best practices and technical skills to achieve best efficiency and quality.
- Responsible to Implement innovative solutions to improve production efficiency and safety by the help of Kaizen , Poka-Yoke and other effective tools.
- Responsible to resolve escalated customer issues in a timely manner.
- Conducted comprehensive risk assessments to proactively address potential issues specifically at the time of new development.
- Daily production planning at fabrication shop according monthly production schedule and ensure 100% deliverable achieve on time.
- Overall responsibility of weld quality issues and ready CAPA for better quality.
- Manpower handling according to availability of material and m/c.
- Responsible for process quality at fabrication shop to minimize defects.
- Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly Production of Tacking, Welding, Dressing.
- Ability to read and understand the Engineering Drawings.
- Familiar with industrial Fabrication mechanical tools and their usage.
- Making shop floor environment cordial and healthy for smooth running of my section.
- Training provide to new welders for better quality welding and reducing welding defects.
- BOM verification every year in the fabrication department co-ordination with design deptt.
- Maintaining production related documents, steel utilization records, consumables cost, Workmen efficiency, Production reports etc.
- Responsible for daily salvage of line rejection, supplier rejection and scrap coordination with quality team.
- Responsible for increasing Overall Equipment Efficiency of machine.
