  • Company Overview: The National Horticultural Research and Development Foundation (NHRDF) was established by National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) and its Associate Shippers of onion on 3 November, 1977 under Societies Registration Act, 1860 at New Delhi.
  • Undertook & completed AICRP and other projects well on time.
  • Successful in finished around 25 projects on disease management, plant yield, post harvest technology and breeding for new varieties.
  • Attended emergency meetings with Central Agriculture Ministry from time to time to evaluate stiff rise in Vegetable Prices and strategies to control the inflammation.
  • Instrumental in establishment of Research Laboratory, Research Institute, bio-pesticide laboratory, Bio-Manure unit, quarantine unit, quality management cell, etc.
  • Annual production of more than 1000 tons of compost to the farmers and dealers in Maharashtra.
  • Successfully prepared disease forecasting model in onion and disease incidence mapping.

Projects

Successful cleaning of lakes, desilting and beautification using innovative technology. Implementation of Solid waste Management Project at IIT, Kharagpur. Launched the project, in association with Buddha Purnima Project Authorities, where contaminated water is made portable. Involved in research activities and took the 1st phase project to success. Involved in team management, budgeting, day to day operations, project designing, labour management, presentations, liaising with Government office and Industries, University tie-ups. Associated for organic fibre mold mitigation project with Biovation company, Boothbay harbour, Maine State, USA. Collaboration with world known companies such as Tencate, Ace Geosynthetic, Envi Labs. Carried out detailed testing with Government of Tamilnadu, and Coir board in India. Successfully in show causing the Pilot Project with Government of Telangana & Monitored all phases of Pilot project, from location to designing the entire pilot project.
