Robust Multimodal Biometric Recognition and Verification Systems for Person Authentication.

Description : Achieving performance for an automated biometric system is crucial to prove that it is robust to real time noise encounter that determines the expected behavior of the system, robustness is verified considering different types of spatial noises at varied levels of noise intensities. Deep learning is based on artificial neural network which generates feature hierarchies by statistical machine learning techniques, deep features for biometric data is extracted from newly proposed CNN architecture and compared with features extracted from conventional methods, performance and robustness of the developed system is studied in detail.

The proposed research work aims at exploring and developing the algorithm to address the following

Ø Explored the performance of single classifier and ensemble classifier models.

Ø Investigated score level fusion under several rules of combination.

Ø Exploring the robustness of both unimodal and multimodal biometric systems considering different types noises.

Ø Determine nature of robustness between conventional/traditional techniques.

Ø Proposal of a novel deep learning architecture for biometric data.
