a. Head of Directorates of Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) and Airport Systems (AS)-Planning.
b. Responsible for Plannings, procurement, Installation and Commissioning of CNS projects and Airport Systems (AS) such as Airport Security Equipments/Systems and Passenger Facilitation Systems required for efficient Airport operations.
c. Monitoring and management of CNS and Airport System Projects (Supply only and Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning (SITC) projects of all Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS), GNSS equipment, Airport Systems, Security Equipments and support systems).
d. Responsible for Plannings, monitoring and management of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) of Air Navigation Services (ANS) and Airport Systems of AAI on Pan India Basis.
e. Recommends new strategic policies, evaluates current ones, and suggests systemic changes for the AAI Board's approval.
f. Recommends new procurements proposals for ANS and Airport Systems for the Board's approval.
g. Maintains oversight of regulatory compliance, competency development, process improvement, and innovation.
h. Coordination on Operations requirements of Air Navigation Services of Airports Authority of India for seamless airspace and Air Traffic Management.
i. Supervision of Operation and maintenance of CNS Systems and other logistic support related to Air Traffic Management, including interaction and liaison with National and International agencies.
