• Lead end-to-end sheet metal design activities from concept, feasibility, and prototyping through production release
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCad)
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, bend allowances, and flat pattern development per manufacturing standards
• Design components considering manufacturability (DFM/DFA), cost optimization, material selection, and production constraints
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, tooling, quality, supply chain, and project management teams
• Support tooling design, press brake operations, laser cutting, punching, welding, and surface finishing processes
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and implement engineering changes (ECR/ECN)
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; provide technical guidance and design best practices
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for feasibility studies, cost estimates, and prototype development
• Resolve production issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality targets.
• Products handled grain bucket elevators, customized conveyors, vibratory graders, trommel grader, diverters, paddy dryers, customized blowers, eccentric based flat graders, furnace, scale able destoners, types of weldment based components.
• Identifying and predicting potential delays and action remedies.
• Performing cost analysis as and when required. Over saw all aspects of design and development, and offered design solutions when necessary.

• Designing of post agricultural harvesting machineries & injection molding plastic components.

• Development of double staged huller machine for millets.

• Involved in Product approval certification from various government organizations like IIMR,TNAU,ICAR.

• Gathering customer requirements and feedback for the vending machine.
• Creating preliminary concept layout based upon Customer requirements
• Responsible for designing, releasing and modifying prototype drawings and followed by detailed production drawings.
• Conducting meetings with supplier for developing tooled-up parts for production and Visiting supplier ends for component audit and approval.
• Take part in on-site projects for Erection and to identify Problem solving design analysis
• Preparing machine Installation and Instruction manuals.
• Involving in initial cost estimation of the product in NPD.
• Prepare BOM with the use of SAP and carry out production
• Responsible for tasks of analyzing the components to ensure design criteria and specific Requirements.
• Helping the service team in trouble shooting and overhauling of machines.
• Solving problems in the shop floor by working closely with production people involved in
• fabrication, machining, assembly and testing areas.

• Preparation of BOM and Item codes using SAP.
• Design review meeting held with other Departments.
• Maintaining of ISO relevant documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers and follow up materials.
• Material selection based upon IS requirements
• Preparation of item codes, quality plan, control set, and materials spec. using ISS(Integrated Software System).
• Value engineering(for reduce the cost of product).
• To rectify the regular problems faced by production, quality and testing.
