Title: BUK (Barclays UK).
Description: Barclays UK consists of multiple applications, where most of the app's work on APIs. We are involved in supporting major applications of BUK, such as Open Banking, BMB, AS3, and several other API-based applications. All these apps are hosted on A P A S infrastructure.
Contribution: Application support on an APAAS (Application Platform as a Service) cloud infrastructure involves providing the first level of support for applications hosted on the platform.
Responsibilities:
1) Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving technical issues that arise within the hosted applications, addressing bugs, errors, and performance issues.
2) Incident and Change Management: Managing incidents, ensuring their timely resolution, and communicating updates to stakeholders.
3) Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of applications to identify and address potential bottlenecks, ensuring optimal functionality.

Resolved production issues by modifying back-end code as needed.
Handled errors using exception handling extensively for the ease of debugging and displaying the error messages in the application.
Using set auto trace on, and explain plan for query optimization.
Using Optimization Hints to improve the query performance.
