Project 1

Title: BUK (Barclays UK).

Description: Barclays UK consists of multiple applications, where most of the app's work on APIs. We are involved in supporting major applications of BUK, such as Open Banking, BMB, AS3, and several other API-based applications. All these apps are hosted on A P A S infrastructure.

Contribution: Application support on an APAAS (Application Platform as a Service) cloud infrastructure involves providing the first level of support for applications hosted on the platform.

Responsibilities:

1) Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving technical issues that arise within the hosted applications, addressing bugs, errors, and performance issues.

2) Incident and Change Management: Managing incidents, ensuring their timely resolution, and communicating updates to stakeholders.

3) Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of applications to identify and address potential bottlenecks, ensuring optimal functionality.

4) Collaboration with Development Teams: Working closely with application developers to understand and resolve issues related to the application’s code or configuration.

5) Documentation: Maintaining documentation for common issues, solutions, and procedures to streamline future problem resolution.

6) User Communication: Communicating with end-users and stakeholders regarding issue status, resolutions, and preventive measures.

7) Data Analysis: Analyzing data and providing meaningful insights from it to stakeholders for better decision-making.

Application support plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of applications hosted on an APAAS cloud infrastructure, contributing to a seamless user experience.

Project 2

Title: LSEG-Prime

Description:

LSEG is one of the world’s leading providers of financial markets infrastructure, and delivers financial data, analytics, news, and index products. This can help organizations fund innovation, manage risk, and create jobs by partnering with customers at every point in the trade lifecycle: from informing their pre-trade decisions and executing trades to raising capital, clearing, and optimization.

Responsibilities:

Resolved production issues by modifying back-end code as needed.

Handled errors using exception handling extensively for the ease of debugging and displaying the error messages in the application.

Using set auto trace on, and explain plan for query optimization.

Using Optimization Hints to improve the query performance.

• Developed stored procedures, functions, triggers, PL/SQL programmed units, etc. As per the project requirement.

• Worked on SQL*Loader to load data from flat files obtained from various facilities every day. Based on the mapping document, we will create tables and write triggers for enhanced validation and business logic management.
