Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of software interface design including audience and task analysis, market analysis, scenario building, storyboarding, prototyping, and defining interface specifications, guidelines, and standards
Collaborate with engineers to design total human-computer interaction and to develop flow of information in FIS software applications

Major Task: Clinicals Control Plane

Oracle Health team needs help in designing "Create Environment" workflow for Oracle Health applications. The design will be similar to Fusion Apps Control Plane and follow similar logic. Through this workflow, we are aiming to create environments for our internal developers to deploy millennium stack for building and testing code changes in millennium.

Accomplishments
It was one of the major enhancements for Oracle Health team.
There were continuous discussions with multiple stakeholders to understand the feature goals.
Also, there were regular updates in requirements throughout the design process.
Further, we learnt about the technical limitations & development aspects, which allowed us to include a valuable additional layer to our design work & to collaborate with architects more effectively.
There was high visibility to this task since our "Software Development, Vice President" was directly involved in all the major discussions and design feedback sessions.
I would listen patiently and incorporate the feedback into the next iteration, understanding that arriving at the optimal design is a balancing act between business needs, technical feasibility and the designer’s desire to create the best UX.

Activities
I worked on the "UT: CCP" and “UT: Omics” Usability Testing tasks mentioned below:
Data Collection: Session recordings, User feedback and comments, Task success rates, Observations and notes, Any issues or challenges encountered by participants.
Analysis: Consolidate observations and feedback, Identify common usability issues and pain points, Prioritize issues based on severity and impact, Generate recommendations for improvements.
Report: A comprehensive usability testing report will be prepared, including Executive Summary, Methodology, Participant demographics, Test scenarios and tasks, Usability issues and recommendations, Task success rates, User feedback and comments.

Challenges being faced and steps to overcome these:

1. UXRB1 feedback points resolution discussions got a bit delayed since panel members were not able to turn up to the scheduled meeting due to their conflicts and bandwidth issues.

  • Continuous follow-ups were done to get the closure to the open feedback points.

2. Few of the stakeholder meetings post mid-night were a little challenge.

  • All stakeholders were flexible and kind enough to re-schedule the discussions in line with the IST friendly time zone once a good rapport was built.
