Led a $700K engagement with an 11- memeber team, analyzing customer behavior, market trends, event performance, sample-retail analysis and product performance for forturen 50 US home improvement retailer.

  • Consumer sub segmentation: Conducted a detailed customer segmentation initiative for home improvement retailer, focusing on breaking down the broad “Consumer” segment into meaningful sub-segments to enable personalized marketing using K-means clustering technique. Leveraged data-driven analysis to uncover distinct customer groups, enhancing targeting strategies and supporting the company’s goal of improving customer engagement and marketing effectiveness. Created Xgboost classifier to predict the segments of the household month-over-month.
  • Sentiment Analysis ( via LLM ) : Led an GenAI-powered (gemini 1.5 flash) sentiment analysis initiative for home improvement retailer to diagnose performance decline in a key appliance department. When traditional quantitative analysis failed to reveal clear insights, developed a text-analytics solution to extract customer sentiment, identify underlying issues, and uncover actionable drivers contributing to the department’s underperformance across quarters. This enabled leadership to make informed, data-backed decisions to address the problem.
  • Black Friday analysis: The Home Depot's merchandising/marketing team wanted to understand the customer purchase pattern during Black Friday sales. Based on this they wanted to set campaigns, manage inventory and predict the sales for next year. I created ADF to solve the above given problem, after data mining and extracting insights on various cohort levels I helped the team know that out of 2+ million SKU's there are 198 SKU's which drive the major sales during Back Friday, accounting to 5% of the total sales generated throughout the year. I also performed Pareto analysis to select top SKU's which covers 80% of households.
