Associate Software Engineer
- Having 3+ years of experience in Production, UAT and development environments as a support engineer in asp.net applications.
- Identifying root causes of failures and crashes in application, scheduled jobs, databases, middleware services, networking services.
- Incident management in service now: Incident management for BAM scenarios, Splunk generated scenarios and other monitoring systems as well as user generated tickets along with p-1 and p-2 High priority tickets. Managing and leading p-1 and p-2 calls and performing deep investigation with infra teams and vendors.
- Creating and publishing knowledge activities that record resolution steps for frequently occurring issues.
- Change and release management: identifying underlying technical issues, creating cutover action plans for deployments, performing impact analysis and estimating downtimes for each environments and engaging the required infrastructure team for deployments to resolve the issue along with testing.
- Vendor management: Some of our application are vendor dependent and we require support from vendor to make code changes and perform user level tests to resolve the issue with vendor support through various portals.
- Performing yearly maintenance activities: Prepare cut over plan for Activities like disaster recovery planning, annual password refresh, backup and restore activities, updating Cutover plans for large activities, engaging all required infra teams, creating and managing change requests for same, capturing all required evidence for audit purposes.
- Creating and installing SSL certificates for multiple application in Production and non-production environments on server, cloud and network layer levels.
- Monitoring application and application infra health, monitoring instance memory to prevent Prod app crashes.
- Client communication: Informing application owners and business analyst of all necessary information of all applications in our portfolio. Providing weekly on call updates to Application owners about progress on each existing issue. Creating and executing production and non-production changes required to solve issues and getting required approval for deployments.
- Individual contributions to portfolio: Deployed script on hana database to monitor DB memory and prevent OOM situation. Deployed BAM scripts to identify IPS services and login crashes. Deployed additional popup screen on login page to guide user with frequently faced issues.
