Dept:- Operation commissioning and operation planning , ( WRM&PFA)

Ø Part of startup team of new production line of wire rod casting and ingot casting .

Ø As a Shift In-charge responsible for whole shift production; supervising the production department to ensure production of non-defective products and enhancing the product quality. (Work responsibility alloy preparation in furance preparation, scrap melting , man power handling, wire rod production, pfa production at 12-13MT/Hr, ensure availability of consumables, toolbox talk , safety of each person working in area).

Ø Directing and assisting team members including operators and subordinates, assign responsibilities and monitoring their activities; achieving all the set targets including the product delivery on time as per the demand of customer

Ø Maintaining inventory to lowest possible.

Ø Implementation of process parameters to achieve target quality

Ø Monitor processes & identify deviations towards process ensuring manufacturing of products meeting pre-determined specifications and quality attributes

Ø Accountable for the housekeeping and safety preventions of the unit and also initiating 5S Plan on the shop floor (leading team for furnace and casting area) for smooth operations.

Ø Accountable for upgrading of SOP’s (along with HIRADec , ESIA according to change ) and related training to downstream

Ø Representing department (WRM) for in various audits ( ISO , VSAP , PV etc)

Ø Accountable for all confined space works in area (WRM)

Ø Handled various projects for reducing the break-downs, rejection and improving the product quality.

Ø Member of team involved in various projects for reducing the break-downs, rejection and improving the product quality.

Ø Doing every shift LLF (LOOK LISTEN FEEL) of machine

Ø Motivating all employees to take part in KAIZEN

Ø Monthly shut down planning and execution, this includes the resource planning (Man and Material) and co-ordination with other departments for successful completion of shut down.

Ø Increasing the availability of equipment by preventive and predictive maintenance and timely execution of maintenance activities to reach the production targets.

Ø Coordinator with utility plants (compressor plant, nitrogen generation plant, soft water plant and cooling tower).

Ø Working as area head of raw material and operation planning of cast house ( ensuring availability of raw material and plant specific consumables for production lines, keeping track of production cost, generating MIS related to consumption , coordinating between purchase , stores and production, and coordinating the production plan given by sales team alloy specification wise, maintaining min-max level of inventor.

Ø Additional responsibility dross management and safety coordinator

Ø Involvement in red bin analysis, PM activities.

Ø Preparation of process chart, process control & process audit sheets

Ø To issue proper instruction & schedule on shop floor and to take proper steps, so that the job is executed in scheduled time.

Ø Achieving the production target with minimum use of resources.

Ø Assist in carry out the month end Inventory of WIP timely and accurately.

Ø Running program of educating the operators to improve the quality and controlling the rejection .

Ø To ensure quick response to any problem relating to man, machine, material and method.
