- Presently, I am working as a Sr. Mechanical Manager in a steel-making plant.
- My work profile contains,
- To lead the maintenance team and ensure good team spirit.
- Planning and execution of various projects, kind of jobs, along with routine maintenance jobs.
- Maintenance of EAF (150T), LF (150T), and its related systems like MFS and FES.
- Maintenance of EOT cranes with a capacity of 12 tons to 320 tons.
- Inspection and Maintenance of Compressors, Blowers, Pumps, Fans, and Gearbox.
- In-house preparation, as well as procurement of spares used in SMS.
- Preparation and review of contract documents, scope of work, tender estimate, finalization of the pre-qualification criteria, and commercial terms for the project, finalization of the payment terms, and schedule for the tender, etc.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- To attend to emergency and breakdown maintenance of equipment as required, with the lowest downtime.
- Active participation in plant troubleshooting, as well as plant start-up and shutdown activities.
- Planning and scheduling various maintenance orders as per the desired frequency.
- Planning and managing resources for the timely completion of the shutdown.
- Coordination with various departments for planning and execution of critical s/d.
- Prepare the worklists, track job progress, and take regular feedback for the analysis of any deviations.
- Planning, scheduling, updating the turnaround progress, and making catch-up plans.
- Create detailed reports on project progress for senior management review.
- Review completed work to verify consistency, quality, and conformance.
- Notifying and tracking all the jobs done in the SAP R/3 PM module to ensure the execution of required maintenance as per frequency.
- Managing shift activity.
- Reliability improvement by tracking equipment's health through regular inspection, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography techniques provide support for troubleshooting issues and taking corrective action.
- Review the engineering drawings and update them accordingly.
- Prepare ECN/MOC for modification.
- Preparation and review of SOP and HIRAC at regular intervals.
- CAPA analysis and root cause analysis of frequent issues.
- Doing FMEA projects regularly, as well as QC projects, to solve problems on the shop floor.
- Doing Poka-Yoke, and checklist preparation for mistake-proofing activity.
- Continuous reduction of maintenance costs by maintenance prevention, simplification, modification, and standardization, as well as monitoring workforce productivity.
- Core team member for implementing and maintaining 5's methodology in the plant.
- Maintaining high standards of safety by HAZOP study and implementing various safety enhancement drives, such as PSIF, Fatality Prevention Standard, and Process Safety Management, etc.
- Monitor compliance with industry regulations and company policies to mitigate risk.
- Tracking department performance by preparing MIS, ORM, monthly reports, etc.
- Participate in recruitment initiatives by interviewing potential candidates, and selecting suitable hires.
