With over 20 years of experience in the end-to-end supply chain, I have assumed leadership roles in various areas such as S&OP, demand planning & forecasting, supply & distribution planning, logistics, warehousing & fulfilment, e-commerce operations, RM/PM/FG procurement, sourcing, contract manufacturing, new product development and project management. My expertise spans across multiple sectors including FMCG, FMCD, Food, and Pharma OTC, and I have had the privilege of working with reputable organisations like Piramal Pharma, Kellogg, Mondelēz, Unilever, Mahindra.
During my tenure at Piramal Pharma Ltd. (Consumer Product Division) so far, I have navigated through different aspects of the supply chain, initially overseeing the Planning & Logistics function, then transitioning to Warehousing & Fulfilment, and currently leading Procurement & Contract Manufacturing.
Some notable achievements include the implementation of a robust S&OP process, automation of forecasting and distribution systems for inventory optimisation, restructuring distribution networks and warehouse infrastructure for significant cost optimisation.
Moreover, I have spearheaded the establishment of in-house fulfilment centres for E-Commerce and versatile co-packing operations, resulting in enhanced product margins.
Furthermore, I have successfully delivered substantial annualised procurement cost optimisation through strategic sourcing models, smart costing, product re-engineering, vendor consolidation, and alternate vendor development strategies.
Currently, I am responsible for overseeing the Procurement & Contract Manufacturing department, which entails managing the purchasing of INR 250 Crore (USD 30 Million), overseeing contract manufacturing operations / smart LL model, strategic sourcing, procuring raw materials, packaging materials & finished goods across a diverse range of products including pharmaceutical OTC, cosmetics, food, diapers, wipes, women's hygiene products, kids' feeding range, toys, etc. Moreover, my role involves negotiating costs, developing alternate vendors, planning for business contingencies (BCP), executing Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with third-party manufacturing sites, as well as overseeing new product development (NPD) activities.
As head of national Warehousing & Fulfilment function, led warehouse operations, logistics, primary supply planning & fulfilment, direct B2B fulfilment to mega E-Com sellers, D2C fulfilment through multiple marketplaces.
