RT-Radiographic Testing, VT- Visual Testing, MPT- Magnetic Particle Testing, DPT- Dye Penetration Testing.
Completed the training in multiple non-destructive testing (NDT) methods! Radiographic Testing (RT), Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), and Dye Penetration Testing (DPT) are some valuable techniques used to identify defects or discontinuities in materials without causing damage.
Radiographic Testing involved the use of X-rays or gamma rays to examine the internal structure of a material for any abnormalities or defects. Visual Testing is a basic inspection method used to detect surface-level defects, such as cracks or scratches. Magnetic Particle Testing uses magnetic fields and iron particles to identify surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. Dye Penetration Testing involves the application of a dye or fluorescent material to the surface of a material, which can penetrate any surface-breaking defects and highlight their presence.
As someone trained in multiple NDT methods,I am likely a valuable asset in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, construction, and manufacturing, among others. Your expertise in these techniques can help ensure the quality and safety of products, structures, and components.
