Pricing Insights:

• Pricing Insights is a Product which maintain data of Target prices of all items in its assortment and also responsible for contributing to competitive intelligence in determining Target prices
• We are currently working or building a reporting platform which will expose insights on Pricing data, which in turn will help make better pricing decisions for Target
• We are currently building a new Hadoop pricing application, which will replace the existing legacy systems, and will create a one stop shop for all pricing operations and data
• Build a new data architecture in Hadoop platform, so that we are able to seamlessly move from existing pricing systems to the new applications, and also have enhanced capability to look at existing pricing data and derive meaningful insights for business.
• Controlled project costs by approving expenditures.

Responsibilities:

• Designed, Implemented, and supported data warehouse (Hadoop) for Pricing business
• Automated and supporting the newly designed Data warehouse objects as per the business requirements
• Understanding the business part of the product and using the same when executing the design
• In the process Learnt how to integrate to Pricing data with other subject areas like sales, inventory which will give analytics on the data we are gathering
• Identified strategic enhancements and automation opportunities, including integrating heterogeneous data across Target
• Educated business users and Data scientist on the value and appropriate use of warehouse and reference data
• Reviewed and selected the appropriate design and tools for modernized Big data analytics.

Inventory Offload:

• Inventory is one of the critical subject areas in Target where it maintains data of all the items in Target’s inventory across United States
• Inventory Offload project is dedicated to migrating and developing critical tables in the inventory subject area to Hadoop which is the new Enterprise Data warehousing platform in Target from Teradata
• This benefited Target as it reduced the burden on legacy system and in turn reduced target cost on this
• This will also enable the ETL Process happening in a new modern technology and thereby getting access to all the upgraded tools available in outside world

Responsibilities:

• Design, Implementation and migrate complete data of Inventory Critical tables in hadoop.
• Develop code to source , clean and transform data for model training
• Optimization and query tuning in the workflows to use the resources effectively
• Setting up monitors and alerts based on the data we get from the source
• Educate the business users and Data scientist on the value and appropriate use of warehouse and reference data
• Designed the model to switchback to legacy system as a backup plan in case of any blackouts
• Measure model accuracy and business benefits.

Store Sales Data Migration:

• The main objective of this project is to offload ETL servers with high volume of data flowing to the Teradata systems to save CPU cycles
• Provide data for elastic analysis, leveraging the capabilities of Hadoop platform
• It’s the migration of data from Teradata to Hadoop system doing the required transformations using hive and sqoop
• Following are the architectural activities involved in this project
• Data loading into Hadoop – Also known as Data Ingess
• Processing within Hadoop -Using Hive to perform ETL transformations
• Move data back into Teradata Using either Sqoop or “Teradata connector for Hadoop” (TDCH)
• Orchestration-Process to creating a workflow using Oozie.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the whole requirement specification and preparing the test cases
• Involving with business and understanding their requirements for reporting
• Creating the hive tables for storing the data in Hadoop system in ORC or RC format
• Sqooping the data from Teradata to Hadoop hence offloading the ETL
• Performing the System Integration testing/User Acceptance Testing on the data brought to Hadoop system

ETS Billing and Order processing:

• Assessed accuracy of data and documents by utilizing standardized measurements and tests.
• Established testing procedures to codify consistent, high-quality approach.
• Completed documentation outlining tests performed and results obtained.
• Managed communication between different stakeholders to gather information, resolve differences and implement improvements.
• Monitor Defects to closure
• Maintain Issue Log, tracking the issues to closure
• Effective coordination between development team and testing team

• Test Management Tools: HP Quality Center 10.0, HP ALM 11.0, Control-M, Version one, Advance query search (AQT), Jira

Connected Vehicle Program (CVP):

• Understanding the business flows and interacting with requirement team, PMs to understand project and CRs
• Creation of Test data for execution flows
• Execute and prepare Data Specific Test Cases considering all business scenarios for an End-to-End flow
• Execution of Test cases and logging bugs in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
• Monitor Defects to closure
• Effective coordination between development team and testing team
• Interact with the Client to discuss the progress/issues during daily calls

• Hardware Applications: Telematics Unit and Smart Phones in Android and IOS platform (Include Bluetooth Testing, UAA mobile App Testing)
