- Worked in organic chemistry laboratory of Dr. Subhas Chandra Pan. Synthesized trans beta nitrostyrene which is the starting material of indigo dye, thereby finding its role in textile industry. Various ways how a trans beta nitrostyrene can be produced was replicated in lab. Further, reactions which can be performed by trans beta nitrostyrene were done including Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction. Learned how to perform thin layer chromatography, column chromatography, FTIR, HPLC.
