As a dedicated researcher and a PhD scholar, with a strong academic background in Gender Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), my ongoing doctoral research explores the sociological gaps within a public health discourse to address the persistent problem of poor health outcomes and health inequalities in marginalized women. Through my investigation of the discourse of anemia among adivasi women living in the climate challenging region of Sundarbans in West Bengal, I have addressed these gaps through a gendered lens to maximize change. Further, my collaboration with Archie, (an NGO dedicated to provide basic healthcare services to people living in Sundarbans through boat clinics), has enabled me to engage and support women and young girls directly in the village to access healthcare. I also played a pivotal role in conducting research and crafting impactful communication materials to synthesize information coherently between doctors and patients to build a holistic approach in addressing health concerns within the organization. I also bring to the table a three-year professional work experience as an academic researcher, which has significantly enriched my expertise in the field.
