  • Working on Optimization of Public Distribution System in the largest democracy using digital framework. The target population (800 million people) is spread across 28 states and 8 UTs(Union Territories) in India (7th largest country).
  • Developed and implemented Advanced Grievance Redressal System (AGRS) in the department leveraging WhatsApp and IVRS. This is 1st of its kind initiative in the Government space.
  • Responsible for creation and implementation of effective Procurement and Supply Chain framework for Network Participants.
  • As-is requirement gathering of current processes of Central and State Government public distribution processes.
  • End-to-end RFP and Bid Process Management.
  • Comprehensive study of the PDS distribution system and network in 28 states and 8 UTs of India and designing a fit for all solution for better data analytics (focussing on AI/ML), reporting and reducing pilferage.

  • Has been posted at FCI Regional Office(Punjab), Chandigarh and at FCI Divisional Office, Ludhiana wherein headed the Procurement, Commercial, Contract, Vigilance, Storage, Security and Personnel/Administration divisions.
  • The work involved linking of 127 FCI warehouses/godowns with 435 rice mills and 104 mandis for food grains storage strictly ensuring the least economy principle involving expenditure to the tune of Rs 9000 crores.
  • Planned and implemented the operations of Handling and Transportation in the godowns and railheads through the contractors involving large scale operations (approx 1, 56,000 bags in a day) and ensuring EPF and ESIC compliance.
  • Successfully executed important Government schemes namely WBNP, MDM, PMGKAY, ICDS etc. under Ludhiana district ensuring delivery of food grains to nearly 40 lakh NFSA beneficiaries.
  • Worked on economical distribution of procurement centers of food grains in consonance with State Government resulting in huge savings to the public exchequer. Did Regular negotiations and communications with the contractors/3rd party stakeholders/NGOs to implement the Government projects and schemes efficiently.
  • This profile has always got me into policy making and communication with influential entities. Through analytical skills, regular negotiations and effective communication savings to the Corporation have been to the tune of more than Rs 100 crores during my tenure.
  • Also, the work involved hiring of warehouses/godowns from multiple agencies for food grains storage ensuring the least cost principle so that least stress could be there on the public exchequer.
  • I have handled the execution of important projects like Adani Silo(Capacity : 2,00,00 MT) in Moga(Punjab). Additionally took avid interest in litigations and with all the hard work had got many court cases in favour of the corporation. The work involved administrative, operational and vigilance exigencies.
