- Currently leading & implementing IFRS 17 developments in Metlife european models. This involves aggressive strategic planning, cross functional communication, training myself and mentoring team on IFRS 17 concepts, prophet developments, IFRS CB calculation, IFRS Groups updates in MPFs, coverage units and NDIC calculation etc.
- Worked on over 200+ BAU change requests for 13 different valuation models in prophet for MetLife EMEA region. This involved understanding and implementing stakeholder’s change requests followed by relevant testing.
- Worked on ORSA Acceleration Project which involved setting up EV BEL calculations, Unit Linked products Rebasing, Contract Boundary Renewals in prophet. Also worked on generating future
projections assuming a new business profile for ORSA. Implemented an improved functionality for Stress Runs in Prophet as well, as part of ORSA Acceleration project. - Planned & lead assumptions refresh for multiple years with hands on experience of setting up Prophet Assumption Manager.
- Worked on new product developments in Prophet model as part of BAU Releases. Performed validations on Prophet cashflows against the Pricing model of the new product to ensure correct development.
- Performed Quality Assurance Testing on developed models and financial impacts on the generated cashflows.
- Coordinated across multiple teams (IT, Local Office, Analysis, Finance, Quality Assurance, Production) for every development release.
- Prepared detailed Impact Assessment Memos to document the implemented model changes for final sign offs and getting the model successfully deployed into production.
- Have strong experience in implementing solutions to remove/reduce manual intervention thus improving net productivity. Developed various excel VBA and SQL solutions which led to up to 80% reduction in business days required for new product additions, several production activities, development activities and testing.
- Worked on VNB Heat Maps project requiring metlife prophet models to be setup on a higher granularity and pass on results in a specific format.
- Worked on analyzing and reducing the errors during DCS run for prophet Model Point File creation reducing the need for investigations and unmodelled adjustments in each production cycle.
- Implemented over 50+ high value unmodelled adjustments (UA) multiple prophet models.
- Worked on and automated new plan codes implementation for european prophet models leading to a significant reduction in the backlog by 3 quarters thus reducing the magnitude and the number of unmodelled adjustments to SII. Was highly praised by Andy Rallis (MetLife Global Chief Actuary) for the same.
