Work History

Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Built the CAD from Scratch: I built the entire 3D CAD assembly for the TerraMax robot from the ground up, making sure all the structural, mechanical, and electrical parts fit together perfectly into one master model.
  • Suspension & Steering Design: I handled the vehicle dynamics for the robot. I ran calculations to pick out the right OEM parts and suspension struts, and designed the steering setup, heavy-duty knuckles, and the mounting brackets for the steering and struts.
  • Lightweighting the Robot: I focused heavily on cutting down weight, successfully making the chassis and the overall robot much lighter without losing any strength.
  • Creating Production Drawings: I made clean, detailed manufacturing drawings for every single part I designed, adding all the necessary dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Component Mounting & Packaging: I designed custom mounts for the electrical boxes, powertrain components, and sensor systems, including the brackets to hold the robot’s outer camera array.
  • Custom Spreader System: I worked closely with an external spreader manufacturer to develop a custom setup for our specific needs. We upgraded the system so it could spread fine, powdered fertilizer instead of just the large chunks/granules the older systems used to handle.
  • On-Site Prototyping: Travelled overseas during the prototype build, I worked right on the factory floor to physically assemble and test the robot. I made quick, real-time fixes on-site, updated those changes back into the master CAD model, physically checked our built prototypes against the CAD models, and redesigned the robot's outer shell to make it much simpler to manufacture.
  • BOM & Data Management: I cleaned up and organized our multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the TerraMax project. created SOPs, assembly guides, making ordering and assembly much easier.

Team Velociracers, COEP Tech University, Team Captain, 2023-2025.

  • commanded a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design, manufacture, and assemble a Series Hybrid Vehicle for the national SAE-REEV competition. Oversaw the mechanical integration of the internal combustion engine (ICE), battery packs, and electric motor powertrain to secure peak fuel efficiency. Achieved 1st Runner-Up in the Virtual Rounds of the SAE-REEV 2023 competition, and best innovation of the finals SAE-REEV 2025 competition.

SAE-Efficycle: Chassis Design & Optimization, Lead Chassis Designer, 2021-2022. 

  • Developed and analyzed a high-strength vehicle roll cage using CAD platforms and ANSYS for comprehensive weight optimization and crash safety protocol verification. Utilized laser-cutting methods to manufacture specialized fixture plates, minimizing assembly warping. Won 1st position (Package 1) at SAE National Efficycle 2022.
