Project #: Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC)

Health Care Service Corporation, a Mutual Legal Reserve Company (HCSC), and an Independent Licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, is the largest customer-owned health insurer in the United States, which operates our Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. HCSC affiliates and subsidiaries such as Dearborn Group, Medical and Dental Network of America offer group life, disability, and dental solutions, as well as a range of other individual solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Developed approach, technical implementation solution, estimation, and planning models for Facet’s migration.

• Involved in architecting multiple Confidential sequence and the respective inbound file processing steps and sequencing to the right order.

• Worked with team members in arriving at the technical solution for SI Custom components.

• Provided technical assistance to the team and calls with Onsite on the Architecture discussions regarding any open issues.

• Gathered business requirements, working closely with business users, project leaders and developers. Analyzed the business requirements and designed conceptual and logical data models.

Project #1: Prudential RS Distributed Applications

The Prudential Insurance Company of America (“Prudential”) is one of the largest and most diversified financial services institutions in the world. Prudential offers full range of insurance, investment, and real estate products and services to individuals and institutions worldwide via its different business units. Prudential Retirement provides institutional investment management, Record-keeping and educational services to public, private, and non-profit organizations in the defined contribution (DC) market.

Defined Benefit Record Keeping – DBRK is a parameter driven active life record keeping and Benefit Calculation system built on distributed architecture with GUI (PowerBuilder) front end and Mainframe Back end. DBRK suite includes ProAdmin, ePRISMS (Primary Import Scheduling Management System) and EMS (Event Management System).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Worked as production support team to resolve production issue caused by data, UI code and backend code.

• Development of code as per the business requirements.

• Involved in defect analysis and stress testing.

• Development of new change requests for the client.

• Involved as a Developer and QA tester for this.

• Involved in the understanding and implementation of client requirements for the application.

• Unit testing of developed components and moving into production environment and maintenance.

• Involving in analysis, designing, coding and implementation of the application.

• Worked in a development team to develop integrated ASP.NET applications.

• Trouble-shooting production incidents requiring detailed analysis of issues on web and desktop applications, Autosys batch jobs, and databases (both relational and VSAM for mainframe)

• Analyze production issues to determine root cause and provides fix recommendations to the development team.

• Worked closely with quality assurance team to ensure delivery of high quality and reliable web applications.

• Prepare technical documents as per established project standards.

• Prepare test-based applications for various Dot Net applications.

• Prepared and maintain code for various dot Net applications and resolve any defects in systems.

• Manage defect tracking system and resolve all issues and prepare update for systems.
