Roles and Responsibilities

  • Resolve incidents reported by users in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Coordinate with upstream systems for file delays, and notify downstream systems and stakeholders of any delays or issues
  • Communicate effectively during production issues, following the appropriate escalation process
  • Monitor and schedule batch jobs and application interfaces (MQ Series), ensuring smooth operation and timely execution
  • Oversee real-time monitoring of queue messages, taking appropriate action when MQ thresholds are breached
  • Perform regular application health checks to ensure Business-As-Usual (BAU) processes are unaffected, addressing any abnormalities promptly
  • Ensure all services are up and running, performing restarts as necessary to maintain system stability
  • Lead P1/P2 incidents, drive resolution efforts, and provide timely updates to all stakeholders until the issue is fully resolved
  • Monitor system memory, CPU, and disk space, taking corrective actions as needed to prevent system performance degradation
  • Actively participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities, ensuring that Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) for payment applications are met
  • Document daily issues and their resolution steps on the Confluence page, providing guidance and support to the team when needed
  • Develop and maintain JSON and XML-based data exchange systems for financial transactions, including account transfers, SWIFT messages, and balance inquiries, ensuring secure and compliant data handling
