• Created hiring matrix to monitor clinical instructor’s process completion as candidates move through the onboarding process.
• Created Pre-Operative Ingestion Noting Tool (P.O.I.N.T. Device) to maximize evidence-base preoperative fasting guidelines, with a provisional patent pending on this product.
• Same Day Surgery Preceptor, orientating newly hired nurses to unit operations and patient flow.
• Documentation Committee Member, working with in-patient and out-patient nursing staff to determine best methodology for documenting patient encounters within the electronic health records systems.
• Created specialty surgery SBAR form for Same Day Surgery Unit, used for post-operative patient nurse to nurse reporting.
• Acquired Lean Yellow Belt Certification from Indy VAMC, Center for Applied Systems Engineering.
• Created Human Resources Management Curriculum for undergraduate students at Martin University, approved by Dean of School of Business for Martin University.
• Managed Pike Twp Fire Department’s promotional process, consisting of procuring outside testing agency to facilitate written exams, in addition to acquiring tenured fire officers to serve as assessors for structured oral interview boards.
• Managed Pike Twp Fire Department’s hiring process, consisted of coordinating written exams, structured oral interviews, physical fitness exams and psychological testing.
• Coordinated Executive Search Team to procure a new Third Party Health Administrator for Pike Township’s Health Insurance plan.
• Managed Health and Benefit programs for Pike Twp Fire Department personnel.
• Coordinated Management Negotiation Team, collaborated with Pike Twp Firefighter’s Local 416 to established 2008 – 2010 Labor Agreement.
• Restructured Health and Wellness Program in conjunction with Police and Fire Health and Fitness, creating a ‘One Stop Shop’ philosophy for mandatory physical fitness program.
• Created ‘The Pike Premier’ an internal and external newsletter updating the fire department and community with fire service issues, health and wellness trends and special events.
• Chair of Recruitment Committee for Indianapolis Fire and Pike Twp Fire Departments, responsible for significant increase in diversity of women and minorities.
• Co-Founder of Firefighter’s Survive Alive, a public fire and life safety education facility design for interactive and comprehensive education and training. Established curriculum for 3rd Graders and procurement of electronic educational equipment.
