Accomplishments

  • Created hiring matrix to monitor clinical instructor’s process completion as candidates move through the onboarding process.
  • Created Pre-Operative Ingestion Noting Tool (P.O.I.N.T. Device) to maximize evidence-base preoperative fasting guidelines, with a provisional patent pending on this product.
  • Same Day Surgery Preceptor, orientating newly hired nurses to unit operations and patient flow.
  • Documentation Committee Member, working with in-patient and out-patient nursing staff to determine best methodology for documenting patient encounters within the electronic health records systems.
  • Created specialty surgery SBAR form for Same Day Surgery Unit, used for post-operative patient nurse to nurse reporting.
