The following are the area of expertise and were the key responsibility:

Turbine Maintenance:

• Responsible for complete overhauling of 220 mW M/s. Turboatom, Ukraine, make Steam Turbine (Model No. K-241-4.0).
• Opening and box-up of LP and HP Cylinders.
• Ensuring all the necessary axial & radial clearances and steam flow path as per the design values, whilst opening and box-up of cylinders.
• Centering of diaphragms of LP and HP cylinder.
• Shaft alignment of HP-LP and LP-Generator Rotors.
• Ensuring the axial and radial clearances of keys and key-ways of glands and diaphragms of both HP and LP cylinders.
• Blue check of all the parting planes of the TG set.
• Ensuring the thermal clearances and axial float of the rotors as per the design value.
• Assistance in DPT, and UT of HP and LP rotors.
• Maintaining the interferences, side, and top oil clearances of journal and thrust bearings.
• Preparation of a comprehensive maintenance report.

Generator Maintenance:

• Opening and box-up of 220 mW, M/s. Electrotyazhmash, Ukraine, make turbo-generator.
• Complete erection of generator in unit#3 of KGS in the year 2020-2021.
• Threading-in and threading-out of generator rotor.
• Complete electrical testing of the turbo-generator as per the OEM's manual.
• Opening, cleaning, centering, and box-up of hydrogen coolers.
• Pneumatic and hydro testing of stator and stator water headers at prescribed pressures.

Management & Sourcing:

• Sourcing of OEM experts, co-ordination and indigenous manpower.
• Competitive bidding and proposal management to ensure the award of contract.
• Site mobilization, arrangement of necessary tools & tackles and the statutory permits.
• Technical discussions with the client and ensuring the recommendations are incorporated in the day-to-day maintenance activities.
• Project monitoring, planning and scheduling.
• Invoicing and maintaining the project cash flow.
• Site closure and obtaining the work completion certificate.

Estimation and Planning:

• Plan and establish work schedules,assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Address the incoming enquiries and provide quotation for the enquired products and / or services.
• Technical discussions with clients to clearly understand their requirement for providing an optimum quotation.
• Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
• Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment and labor availability and work loads.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
