  • Guided project to simulate the airflow around the spoiler of a GT sports car using cloud simulation software SimScale.

Attitude Dynamics and Sensor noise

  • Modelling the attitude kinematics and dynamics of a satellite and the sensor outputs using statistical noise parameters.
  • Incorporating non-idealities such as saturation limits for sensors and Gaussian noise and sampling jitter of the sensors and actuators.
  • Model provides a comparison of the estimated attitude obtained using the Extended Kalman Filter, Triad Algorithm, and Davenport’s Q-method.

Heat Conduction in a 2D slab

Wrote a MATLAB code to plot the transient temperature profiles throughout the slab for a given heat generation equation assuming the following two cases: 1) Constant properties 2) Properties varying with temperature. (Properties : K, Cp)

Computational Investigation of NREL Phase 6 rotor 

Aug 2023- Dec 2023 [Guide: Dr.Balaji Subramaniam]

  • Designed a CAD model of the NREL phase wind turbine blade using Fusion 360.
  • Used an unstructured mesh with multi-reference frame approach to calculate drag Co-efficients and pressure distribution on the blade. [Done in Ansys Workbench]
  • Verified the results obtained with the NREL experimental campaign.

Structured sliding mesh approach to verify NREL phase 6 rotor

Jan 2024- ongoing [Guide: Dr.Balaji Subramaniam]

  • Used a structured mesh for CFD simulation of NREL wind turbine blade to obtain a higher mesh quality.
  • Use a sliding mesh approach and compare it with the results obtained using multi reference frame model. [Done in ansys Workbench]
