  • Acting as an Owners superintendent technical operation of owned/BB vessels. Liaising and monitoring technical managers of owned vessels, to achieve desired declared objectives and policies of the company.
  • Providing technical matter related assistance to the Chartering and post fixture department as and when required.
  • Assisting designated person for developing, maintaining, and implementation of the Quality assurance system of NCL.
  • Assisting designated Person to monitor quality system of the company, so as to achieve optimum effectiveness of its declared objectives and policies.
  • Liaise with & monitor Technical team of Ship Managers responsible for safe Operation & maintenance of Noble vessels and keep control over performance.
  • Liaise, provide acceptance wherever so required for all matters pertaining to ship management like, technical/operational matters, Crew management matters (approvals for Ship board top management), Certification & Class related matters, Repairs & Dry-docking matters.
  • Study & validate ‘Vessel Inspection Reports’ being submitted to Owners by ship Managers and verify follow-up actions of managers in order to ensure that Noble vessels are duly operated in safe and efficient manner.
  • Read through repair & dry-dock specifications as prepared by managers and suggest improvements on same.
  • Check & verify the monthly Opex/Variance/Technical/Cash Flow/Fund Request reports as submitted by Ship Managers.
  • Assist & evaluate yearly budgets of vessels for approval and ensure that Ship Managers operates Noble ships, safely & efficiently within the final approved budgeted figures.
  • Verify various approval requests under EOE (Extra Ordinary Expenses) as sent by Ship Managers and after in-house discussion grant approval on case by case basis.
  • Have regular meetings with Ship Managers staff to ensure diligent discussions pertaining to various matters of Noble Ships and receive updates on the performance of the vessels / follow-up of various observations from previous meetings.
  • Update and relay important/new Technical/Commercial info as available to Ship Managers, which may be of importance for safe & economic running/maintenance of vessels.
  • Liaise closely with OPS & PE department of NCL, as required, for Technical matters of ships and for safe, smooth and efficient executing of final agreed contracts.
  • To participate in various technical & commercial exhibitions, seminars and conferences, meetings with Shipyards & Makers if so required, in order to be updated with latest in technology enhance commercial profitability within the environs of strict compliance to set procedures/guidelines/regulations laid down by various International & local bodies like Flag, Class, IMO, USCG/AMSA and others.
  • Select, prepare specifications / budgets / negotiate and finalize new building contracts either directly with Ship Building yards or through appointed brokers in case of second-hand purchases. conduct or appoints third party for ‘Pre-purchase’ inspections.
  • To monitor New Building projects & its related cash flows/certifications/Class, Flag, Insurance related matters etc, if any, being directly supervised by nominated third parties.
