Key Responsibilities:

• Review Project Data: Review all input data, including 3D drawings, for the corresponding project to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Process Definition: Define the manufacturing process for each part included in the project.
• Feedback and Communication: Provide feedback on the manufacturing processes for each part to the France team, and highlights any concerns about potential issues.
• Project Planning: Develop a project plan based on received inputs, and define key milestones (J2, J3, J4).
• Team Coordination: Conduct weekly team meetings to track progress, discuss any potential roadblocks, and ensure project timelines are met.
• Individual Designer Meetings: Hold individual meetings with each designer to discuss their points and concerns regarding the project.
• Fixture Type Definition: Determine the appropriate fixture type based on project requirements, such as template, prototype fixture, or performance fixture.
• Project Kick-off: Initiate the project by coordinating resources and introducing the fixture concept to the team.
• Design Review: Conduct design reviews of fixtures with designers to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost-saving in the fixture design and implement optimizations where possible.
• Welding Access: Ensure that all welding access in the fixture is considered, aiming for 95-100% welding in the fixture.
• Production Team Review: Collaborate with the production team to review fixture designs and incorporate their feedback.
• Drawings and Sourcing: Prepare detailed drawings and share them with the sourcing team for procurement.
• Manufacturer Follow-Up: Monitor the manufacturer’s progress to ensure parts are delivered on schedule, providing technical support if necessary.
• Fixture Assembly: Once parts are received from the manufacturer, begin fixture assembly.
• Prototype Production and Inspection: Produce the first prototype on tack welding, inspect it with the quality team, and, if it meets dimensional standards, proceed with full welding and a second round of inspection.
• Welding Distortion Tuning: Make necessary adjustments to the fixture to account for welding distortion.
• Second Prototype: Create a second prototype to confirm the desired results and ensure fixture reliability.
• Assembly Sequence Finalization: Finalize the assembly sequence for the fixture to ensure smooth production flow.
• Sample Batch and Validation: Work with the production team to create an initial sample batch to validate the fixture and assembly sequence.
• Production Feedback Integration: Incorporate any necessary adjustments into the fixture design based on production feedback.
• Fixture Handover: Prepare a handover sheet and formally transfer the fixture to the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study and thoroughly understand customer requirements to ensure alignment in fixture design and development.
• Design special-purpose machines (SPM) and fixtures in accordance with customer specifications.
• Develop initial design concepts for the SPM based on customer requirements and feedback.
• Present design concepts to customers for approval and incorporate feedback as necessary.
• Model and assemble various components of the fixture, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precision and clarity.
• Prepare and finalize the BOM, ensuring all components and materials are accurately listed.
• Release finalized design drawings and documents to the manufacturing team for production.
• Oversee the manufacturing process of the SPM machine, ensuring the product is fabricated according to design specifications.
• Conduct a trial of the SPM at the customer's site to ensure functionality and performance meet the agreed requirements.

• This project is used to hold perform of pure glass with which one rod is to get welded and that perform is used as raw material for drawing optical fiber
• We manufactured three jaw chuck which is not only holds preform also rotate in required uniform speed
• So, due to which, we get a uniform preform with the required quality.
