I am Utsav Dey Sarkar, completing my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. My research focuses on small molecule modulators for sulfur/selenium species along with long-acting crystalline prodrug development for tuberculosis.


  • Collaboration. Dr. Rachit Agarwal's group (BSSE Department, IISc Bangalore) to develop LAI of Rifampicin for sustainable drug-release over longer period.
  • Collaboration. Dr. Amrita Hazra (Whytamin Lab, IISER Pune Chemistry) to design bacterial 3-MST enzyme inhibitors.
  • Mentorship. Several undergrads and PhD students.
