Corporate and Contract Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including MOUs, settlement agreements, assignment agreements, joint venture agreements, construction and sale agreements, and vendor contracts, facilitating smooth transactions.
• Ensure contracts are legally sound and align with the company's interests.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, and ensure contract renewals are timely.
• Identify potential legal risks in the company and its subsidiaries' operations, and provide proactive solutions.

Litigation Management and Dispute Resolution.

• Handled the end-to-end litigation management for the company, overseeing a portfolio of over 200 disputes across India.
• Worked closely with external counsels to devise litigation strategies, track case progress, and ensure timely representation in forums such as RERA, Consumer Courts, NCLT, High Courts, Arbitration, and other commercial dispute bodies.
• Maintained an organized docketing system to track all deadlines associated with cases.
• Negotiated with Vendors for any disputes arising out of it.
• Regularly presented comprehensive status reports to management on ongoing litigation, detailing case progress, outcomes, and potential risks.

• Represented clients in litigation matters involving consumer issues, civil disputes, family law matters, and criminal cases.
• Drafted pleadings, motions, briefs and other documents for court proceedings.
• Assisted in the preparation of litigation strategies and trial plans.
• Negotiated with opposing parties to remedy disputes.

• Managed and mitigated legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
• Reviewed the company’s contracts and assisted in managing contract disputes with various vendors and suppliers, especially with the steam turbine supplier, Toshiba JSW.
• Performed due diligence on various companies relating to raw materials worth more than 40 lakhs, and assisted in bidding for companies.
• Assisted in the Arbitration and Negotiation team of law officers and conciliation officers for various disputes arising out of contracts, such as employment and labor-related issues, between subcontract vendors and manufacturers.

• Manage, protect, and expand the Company’s patent portfolio, including proactively identifying and developing patentable intellectual property, and working closely with internal clients and/or outside counsel to prepare, file, and prosecute related patent applications.
• Counsel internal clients, including management, and members of the R&D, technical operations, and corporate development teams, on IP risks and opportunities.
• Review and assist in the drafting and negotiation of nondisclosure, research, license, and other agreements involving the use, transfer, or ownership of intellectual property.
