Academic Projects Undertaken:

M.Tech (Advanced Machinery Design)

Individual Project: Design and Development of Battery-Operated Single Row Paddy Reaper

• 6 months individual project in which a battery-operated paddy reaper was developed and tested for cutting the paddy/rice from a 15cm height from the ground level and conveying it on one side for easy picking
• Starting with the field study to grasp the basic knowledge of the crop and making it useful for the specifications of the reaper machine, a 3D model (rotary Blade Mechanism) was selected from 3 various designs using Catia V5 for easy cutting
• After that, load calculations were calculated and analysis was done using Ansys Workbench before making a real working prototype which was then tested in the field for 87.8%efficiency

Group Project : Design and Development of Coconut Dehusking Machine

• Description : A coconut dehusking (removing the outer shell of the coconut) machine was developed for the retail coconut sellers at a low price of Rs
• 30,000 and able to dehusk 180-200 coconut per hour
• Basic specifications for the development were gathered through field study which were useful in making the 3D
• Catia Model following the selection of 3 Phase Motor, belt drive to the rollers where spikes were mounted for dehusking of the coconut
• Hence, the working prototype was developed and tested

B.E Project: Design and Analysis of Pressure Vessel

• Description : It was an Industrial project in which we carried a study on the pressure vessels used for storing liquids under the guidance of M/s AVK Construction, Khopoli
• Using the PV-elite software,we work upon the pressure vessel for reducing its cost without increasing the area and other parameters.
