Prediction of Student Learning Outcomes in Learning management System

• The student interactions with Blackboard, a widely used Learning Management System in higher education, contribute to predicting student learning outcomes. Using a mixed-methods approach, four deep learning models were analyzed to forecast student performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) extracted from Blackboard data. Data from seven courses were scrutinized through documentary analysis to identify potential predictive KPIs. The study determined that a combined CNN-LSTM predictive model showed promise in accurately forecasting outcomes. These findings suggest that leveraging such models could optimize Blackboard's use and enhance educational interventions in universities.
