I dint think twice before quiting social media during my UPSC-CSE preparation,it frankly opened my horizons to more credible and relavent academic sources of information in the name of entertainment, which was a big win win for me.My UPSC days introduced me to  a whole new world of academics, subjects that I thought were mere textbook articulations with no consequence for the future turned out to be the ones that amused and amazed me the most. Be it history, geography(Indian, world),or Political science, the  relevance of these in the tech driven world today attracted me,I developed a heightened sense of respect for Humanities and was awakened to the detrimental effect of the post colonial education strategy on describing India in the minds of Indians. This influenced me to seek more information from credible sources, and I ended up becoming  a follower  podcasts and niche news programs by Shkhar Gupta on The Print, The Vantage on Firstpost, written and visual works of J Sai Deepak etc.
