  • Responsibility was to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll for various organizations in Singapore. Here's a breakdown of what I did in this role:
  • Data Management: I collected and maintained employee data, including personal information, salary details, benefits, and deductions. This involved working with the Client's Spoc to gather the necessary information and updating the payroll system accordingly.
  • Payroll Processing: I calculated employee salaries based on the approved payroll policies and procedures. This included verifying attendance records, overtime hours, leaves, and any other relevant factors affecting the payroll. I also ensured that statutory contributions such as CPF (Central Provident Fund) were deducted accurately and remitted to the appropriate authorities.
  • Compliance and Legislation: Singapore has specific payroll regulations, such as the Employment Act, CPF Act, and Income Tax Act. I stayed up-to-date with these regulations to ensure compliance in all payroll processes. This involved calculating and reporting monthly tax deductions and filing relevant tax forms as required.
  • Salary Adjustments and Benefits: I processed salary adjustments, such as annual increments, promotions, and bonuses, ensuring they were accurately reflected in the payroll system. I also managed employee benefits, such as insurance, leave encashment, and reimbursement claims, ensuring they were processed correctly.
  • Payslip Generation and Distribution: I generated and distributed payslips to employees on a regular basis electronically. Payslips included detailed information about salary components, deductions, and net pay.
  • Resolving Payroll Issues: If any discrepancies or errors were identified in the payroll, I worked closely with Client's Spoc to resolve them promptly. This could involve investigating errors, reconciling data, and implementing corrective measures to ensure accuracy.
  • Reporting and Analysis: I generated various reports related to payroll, such as payroll summaries, tax reports (IR21 & IR81), CPF contributions, Statutory claims which includes Child care claim, Maternity, Paternity & NS claim and other management reports.
  • Employee Queries and Support: I addressed employee queries related to payroll, explaining salary components, tax deductions, and other payroll-related matters. I provided support and guidance to employees in understanding their payslips and resolving any payroll-related concerns.
  • Throughout these tasks, I followed strict confidentiality and data protection protocols to ensure the security of sensitive employee information. My goal was to streamline the payroll process, maintain accurate records, and ensure employees were paid correctly and on time, in accordance with the company's policies and statutory requirements.
