Initial AWS Infrastructure for Monolithic Application:

  • To prepare a single AWS account for the customer, we are deploying a monolithic application using various AWS services:
  • Backend is hosted on EC2 instances, where Docker is installed to run services inside containers.
  • These instances are placed behind an Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) or Application Load Balancer (ALB), with redirection configured to use secure port 443 (HTTPS).
  • Security Groups are configured to limit access through inbound rules for better security.
  • Frontend is served via an S3 bucket, with CloudFront (CDN) in front to cache and distribute static content efficiently.
  • The database layer uses Amazon RDS (supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) for managed relational databases.
  • Additional services such as Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, and ECS Fargate are used as per specific project requirements.
