Project 2: Cummins Aerospace – Aerospace Component Modelling
Role: Sr. Design Engineer

Focused on the design and development of aerospace-grade components, particularly forged parts, for Cummins’ aerospace applications.
Key Contributions:
- Worked on high-precision aerospace components including aluminum and steel forgings, ensuring conformance to tight tolerances and aerospace standards.
- Collaborated with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to address design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) constraints.
- Created detailed 3D models and 2D drawings adhering to aerospace documentation practices, including GD&T.
- Utilized SolidWorks, with a strong emphasis on advanced surfacing techniques, to model complex forged geometries and ensure manufacturability in aerospace environments.
Internal Automation Projects
Objective: To streamline repetitive engineering and HR-related tasks through automation, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency across departments.
- Drawing to PDF Automation Tool:
Developed a utility that converts drawings from designated folders into PDFs, auto-aligns them based on the Bill of Materials (BOM), merges them, and adds a prefaced cover page with page numbers. The output is a ready-to-release production pack for shop floor teams.
- Resume Screening & Job Match Tool:
Built an automation tool that parses resumes and rates them against a given job description. Evaluation criteria include relevant experience, proficiency in CAD tools, and education background. This tool enables the HR team to quickly identify and prioritize the most suitable candidates for technical roles.
