Key projects executed at Doosan Bobcat

Backhoe loaders – Tractor-Loader-Backhoe

· Working on both side shift and Centre mounting variants.

· Hot spots are identified based on various loadcase for both loader and backhoe side developed by DBIN.

· strains are measured for different operating conditions. Signals are processed and load files are created using nCode.

· Strains are measured and correlated with the FE analysis.

· Fatigue strength of the components are evaluated in nCode using rain flow counting for various duty cycles.

· Developed methods for evaluating plastic Fuel tank as ISO 21507.

· ROPS and FOPS calculation to meet safety requirements as per ISO3471 and ISO 3449:2006.

· Evaluations of various brackets like engine, cooling mounting brackets by studying natural frequencies and stiffness analysis.

Challenge/Achievement:

· Base design is based on European market for 8000Hrs; Total design for 14000Hrs is modified based on the suggestion from FE analysis for Indian market.

· Also solved the failures of chassis, loader arm crack, boom, dipper arm cracks and various bracket from prototype testing.

· Improved designs are validated using bench test for 1000 hours in quick timeline.

· Plastic tank is finalized based on FE analysis and validated in ICAT for ISO requirements.

· Supported retrofitment activities for solving field failures.
