Benzene is partially oxidized in a fixed reactor to Crude Maleic Anhydride. 60% will be recovered as crude Maleic Anhydride, 40% will be recovered as Maleic Acid in a Scrubber. The Maleic acid will be dehydrated using Xylene as an entrainer in an Azetropic Distillation unit to Crude Maleic Anhydride. Then the whole crude Maleic anhydride is Vacuum distilled to Pure Maleic Anhydride. Part of the Pure Maleic Anhydride is ISOMERISED to Fumaric acid in a batch mixer.
- Commissioned the Tubular reactor, Distillation, Scrubber, Flaker, turbine driven centrifugal air compressor, DMW Plant and other utilities Units.
