As part of the ongoing growth of the Nielsen Service Quality (SQ) program, 2012 included the development and introduction of a new voice collection platform for all mobile voice technologies. This platform, developed by Accuver, utilizes software from their XCAL family called XCAL-MO to operate and manage data collection. This change makes the existing voice collection platform Invex.NxG obsolete, completing the planned merger of data and voice collection into one common platform. The Accuver XCAL-MO solution also introduces the new audio mean opinion scoring (MOS) standard of POLQA, as iDen technology is phased out.

Consumer Experience (CE), also known as Mobile-Test, is one of the major products from the Telecom Division of Nielsen, handling the largest volume of data daily. Data collection from major markets throughout the country is transferred to the Nielsen Data Center after going through an ETL process called Gladiator. Collected data is converted into text files, loaded into a Stage Database, validated, cleansed, and transformed into Master data. The Data-Aggregator process aggregates the detailed data into Master databases based on predefined rules, stored in permanent fact tables, and used in Client reports (Collect view) and Extracts.
