  • Design and detailing of pulverized coal pipe system and components like coal pipe orifices, Victaulic joints, dresser coupling, sleeve joints, breather valves and coal sampling system.
  • AA port and main wind box design for firing pulverized fuel (coal/ oil) into the boiler furnace.
  • Selection of oil Burner/Gun for firing LDO/HFO during boiler start-up.
  • Performing pressure drop calculation for deciding coal pipe orifice ID for equalizing the coal flow.
  • Calculating the pre-set values for designing of sleeve joints to take care of boiler expansion.
  • Checking Isometrics, Support Drawings and Vendor GAD’s.
  • Designing the Tank farm Area layouts as per OISD & PESO / CCOE norms.
  • Review of Pipe routing in Smart Plant Review (SPR) for clash checking and provide necessary changes to provide clash free routing.
  • Checking Stress reports from Caesar and modify supports as per stress analysis.
  • Complete Vendor Engineering from the bid stage till completion of contract.
  • Prepare or lead the preparation of Technical specifications (RFQ’s) for all Bought out items in fuel firing system and coal firing system.
  • Preparing Technical Bid Evaluation Report and make engineering recommendations on specific technical areas for Bought items.
  • Assist less experienced engineers and technicians on specific technical problems.
  • Inspection and testing of bought out equipment’s.
  • Inspection and checking of system after erection at site, trouble shooting at site and involving Boiler light up activities.
