Cloud Migration:

• Working on data warehouse US field site applications: ICS - Inventory Control System, PIC - Picking Interface Controller, PWM - Pick Work Manager applications from on-prem data center to Azure Cloud.
• Responsible for end-to-end migration to Azure Cloud using the 6R Strategy.
• Conduct interviews with application and business owners to understand the dependencies and develop strategies for migration disposition.
• Performing discovery and detailed assessment of the application, analyzing the infra, interfaces, and license dependencies.
• Prepare source and target architecture considering performance, cost optimization, and security.
• Responsible for building, configuring, and validating Azure infrastructure (IAAS).
• Configuring NSG rules to establish the connection between the on-prem datacenter to cloud and cloud resources.
• Migrating the on-premises data using Azure Copy and Robocopy.
• Perform security scans for vulnerabilities and remediation by applying the required patches.
• Coordinating with the Database and Monitoring teams to verify whether backups and monitoring have been enabled for newly built cloud servers.
• Develop the migration plan for the cutover day, and provide necessary support during execution.
• Provide hyper-care support post-migration, and hand off to sustain teams.
• Prepare and maintain documents for migration status. Challenges, solutions, and report out to leadership and sustain teams for transitioning the application to the app team post-migration.
• Responsible for decommissioning on-premises servers, and coordinating with the respective teams for follow-up.
