The NFOS application is an insurance domain application. The application is used to create quotations and policies for customers, with customer care employees as the end users.

The application provides numerous other functionalities to the customer, i.e. sending SMTP mail, SMS notifications, printing quotes, and policy documents.

• Retail Banking Investment System (RBIS) holds registered and non-registered mutual funds, GICs, and savings deposits. This system feeds information to other interfaces such as the Client Reporting System (F200), FIS/Fund Serv, DDA, and SRF.
• The purpose of the system is to provide account updating and reporting functions, Royal Bank investment plan types through three investment vehicles, and automate the control of general ledger entries for the investment vehicles.
• The major business functions of the system are: maintaining financial and non-financial data on plan accounts, producing reports for bank, RMFI, trust companies, sales statistics, clients, and government, calculating dividend interest, debiting and crediting client bank accounts, and disbursing commission to branches.
• RBIS is a system which is used to open a 5G account and to purchase or invest in various plans under that account. Once the investment is made, interest payment for the investment begins. If any redemption is to be performed, the 5G system is used to do so.
