• Data coming from different sources like Oracle Database, Flat Files etc.
• To be loaded in DataWarehouse based on different frequencies as per requirement.
• From Transactional Database EDB, data is loaded in DW Staging to DW based on the specific modelincorporated during Design Specifications.
• The entire ETL process consists of source systems, staging area, Data Warehouse and Datamart.
• User Stories during each Off Cycle /Sprint to be developed and tested within the timelines specified.
• Itincludes creating Workflows/Sessions, modifying the existing ones and loading the data into DataMarts.

• Project involves activities which spans data acquisition at distribution level till monitoring of results of steps taken to provide an IT backbone strengthening of the Electricity Distribution System across the region. The objective of the Program is the reduction of AT&C losses to 15% in the Project areas. The Program is divided into 2 parts: Part A includes preparation of Base Line data, GIS Mapping, Asset Mapping and adoption of IT applications for meter reading, billing and collection. Part B includes distribution strengthening projects required for bringing down the AT&C losses. I was working as a Software Developer involved in developing Stored Procedures/Packages/ Functions and other Database objects for the Data Cleansing/ Transformation and loading the data into DW. Role and Responsibilities involved across the Projects: Understand business rules completely based on High Level document specifications and implements data transformation methodologies. Guided the Team members for any new requirements or issues in existing code. Created complex mappings that involved implementation of Business Logic to load data in to staging area. Developed various mappings using Mapping Designer and worked with Aggregator, Lookup, Filter, Router, Joiner, Source Qualifier, Expression, Stored Procedure, Sorter and Sequence Generator transformations. Performed Data Quality checks using IDQ. Converted the PL/SQL Procedures to Informatica mappings and at the same time created procedures in the database level for optimum performance of the mappings. Worked on Reporting Tool- SAP Business Objects on the Query level, so that proper information in generated in Report Format for the end users. Identified problems in the source data and developed onetime scripts to correct them. Writing and troubleshooting complex PL/SQL Procedures, Functions, Object Types, Tab Types, cursors, packages, triggers etc. Running Unix Commands and Shell Scripts. Writing complex queries for the reconciliation of daily status reports. Handling complex and lengthy packages for the coding and analysis of bugs including triggers, Cursors, Stored Procedures and Functions. Participated in weekly status meetings and conducting internal and external reviews as well as formal walk through among various teams and documenting the proceedings. Implemented slowly changing dimension methodology for accessing the full history of accounts. Worked with Informatica performance tuning involving source level, target level and map level bottlenecks. Used debugger in identifying bugs in existing mappings by analyzing data flow, evaluating transformations. Tuned SQL queries and performed code debugging using TOAD. Analyze and investigate technical issues related to application functionality, application configuration and /or environment. Having good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Working knowledge of configuration management tool i.e. SVN. Ability to work in 24x7 environments, preparing root cause analysis and ensuring the action points. Experience of working in Agile Development Environment. Team player with positive and can-do attitude. Believe in working diligently. Flexible to new circumstances and surroundings.
