- Equipment Management - Tracking container movement and container status in an integral process for Equipment and / logistics management.
- Container tracking is a critical process affecting many downstream processes and key source for information for internal and external customers.
- Information about container event movements and container status are sent / received through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages. EDI messages are sent from EDI-enabled depots, received by an EDI-mapping tool, and then mapped to LARA to automatically integrate container moves in LARA Resource Tracking History.
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a file / document standard which acts as common interface two or more computer applications in terms of understanding the file / documents transmitted
- In some cases,the EDI are not integrated automatically in LARA due to missing or invalid EDI data, duplicate EDI data, or illogical EDI data etc. These EDI moves get rejected and will reflect rejections in LARA EDI tracking tool for further analysis.
- SSC team investigate and correct the EDI rejections by updating require information to process the process the EDI moves and get these moves integrated into LARA.
- Information about container event movements and container status are sent / received through email from the respective depot/terminal/agency for manual update in LARA tracking.
- It is received through emails due to the respective depot/terminals are not EDI - enabled, Which needs to be updated manually in LARA.
