Roles and Responsibilities
Involved in the analysis, design and development of the product MMSI, which is a standard platform to onboard Medicare client into TMG. Also developed an application using .Net and SQL server to transform the data from elements to facets.

• Lexis Nexis is a leading global provider of legal, regulatory and business information and analytics that helps customers increase productivity, improve decision making and outcomes

Project Description

3M – SSSC Finance project involves application maintenance and enhancements of finance applications.

Client Description

• The 3M Company, formerly known as the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company, is an American multinational conglomerate corporation based in St.Paul, Minnesota

Roles and Responsibilities

• In this assignment, the activities to be played are providing support and maintenance to finance applications of 3M and enhancements.

Project I: PCDUCS

PCDUCS is a PC based unit cost system which is used for tracking and calculating unit costs. PCDUCS calculates actual unit cost for products using production history data.
I was part of the PCDUCS application support team involved in supporting and
maintaining the application. As a Developer, my tasks include:
● Enhancement of the application.
● Server migration.
● Reports generation for users on request basis.

Project II: IPM

IPM is a Centralized Common Regional Packaging Data system enabling generation, retrieval, workflow, subscription and sharing of packaging information. IPM is used to Create, Edit and Manage the Packaging Specification/Standard Data. It is also used for
Searching and Retrieving Packaging Documents
Responsibilities:
● Supporting the application and solving the application issues without any SLA deviations
● Testing and Maintenance of project
● Reporting status to Clients

Project I: EBAventure – TruMobi

This project involves development of iOS and Android applications. Client Implementation team interacts with clients, prepares the demo site and supports them during installation

• TruMobi is Cognizant’s own venture and serves multiple clients within India and worldwide

Roles and Responsibilities

• In this assignment, the activities to be played are extending support to the clients during product implementation, fixing bugs, enhancements.

Project II: TruMobi BYOD

Cognizant rolled out the “Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)” program that enabled secure email access for employees. This covered both android and iOS devices. The BYOD program is powered by TruMobi.
TruMobi is Cognizant's internally-developed enterprise mobility solution to address the security challenges associated with BYOD. TruMobi is designed to be enterprise and employee friendly. TruMobi’s unique security approach provides better security and control over corporate data while ensuring that personal data and usage remains
confidential and not accessible to Cognizant.
I was part of the development team involved in implementing BYOD. As a Developer, my responsibilities include:
● Support and debugging during the installation phase.
● Automating process (a) reply – response process (b) checking the status of user (c)
installation of web portal using PowerShell scripts.
● Coordination within the support team and preparation of status reports.
● Development of ‘Reports’ page in admin portal.

Project Description

• Comerica – Backlog Clearance Projects is to clean up the requests which got clogged with the client due to insufficient time. The Challenging nature of project is narrow deadlines & includes all kinds of development works

Client Description

• Comerica Incorporated is a financial services company headquartered in Dallas, strategically aligned into three major business segments: The Business Bank, The Retail Bank, and Wealth & Institutional Management
• Cognizant currently supports 112 applications for Comerica in an onsite-offshore model

• In this assignment, the activities to be played are Design, Development & Implementation of Software products for enhanced functionality and productivity, Maintenance & Support of existing applications.

Project I: Application View Builder

Technology: WPF in .Net

Application View Builder is a tool which can create the pictorial diagram along with all applications. It will show you the dependency, relation between the applications. When a user creates an ‘Application Relation’ diagram, the information about the diagram will be
stored in the database. In this way, the database will have information about all the 300 applications. When the user wants to see the output, an XML file will be generated in a specific format and needs to
pass to this application. This XML will be generated from the data saved in the database. The output will have the relationship diagram of all the 300 applications.
● My first WPF project.
● Design/Development for all functionalities.

Project II: SLA KPI - Automation

Technology: VBA Macro

This Project involves development of ‘SLA KPI’ tool to automate the calculation of 10 SLAs. Previously, these 10 SLAs were calculated manually for around 30 projects. This manual work involves collecting information about the project from 30 excel sheets, calculating the
10 SLAs using certain formulas and presenting the result in a separate excel file.
● Involved in meetings for requirement analysis.
● Design and Development of all functionalities.

Project III: Data vault setup utility

Technology: C# .Net with PACLI commands

This Project involves development of ‘Datavault setup utility’ tool to access datavault by both treasury and non-treasury customers. Datavault is a storage area which provides long-term historical storage of data. In Comerica, this datavault is used by both Treasury and non- Treasury customers. We developed a tool to access this datavault. This tool has two different screens, one for treasury customers and another for non-treasury customers. Using this tool, they can add Production customers, Temporary customers, vendors and internal users, customer and user maintenance, deletion of all types of customers, password reset, account lockout, safe creation for all types of customers, folders creation and assign ownership to the users.
As a value add, I have included a functionality to see the hierarchy of folders after the create it using the ‘Create folder’ tab.
● Used PACLI commands which were very new to me to access datavault.
● Involved in Client meetings for requirement analysis.
● Design/Development for all treasury and non-treasury functionalities.

Project IV: Filetrek
Technology: VB .Net

This project is a windows application which includes several forms to validate user using windows active directory, create a new loan(edit,find,delete),store borrower’s details in database, create reports etc.,
● Design and development for all functionalities.

Project V: SLOB & Branch Tree automation
Technology: C# .Net

This Project involves arrangement of excel data and exporting the data to the database.
Finally the data should be exported to a text file.
● Design/Development for all functionalities.

Project VI: PRT Mickey logs
Technology: UNIX

This internal project includes many sub projects which includes log file maintenance, reporting critical errors etc.,

Project VII: SLA & SDA preparation

This task involves creation of SLA & SDA documents for 16 applications.

Project VIII: Java requests
Technology: Struts 1.1

I have enhanced and fixed bugs of various Java application
projects like LCS, RRT and WDC.
● Bugs fixing and enhancement.
● Unit test case writing/testing.

RKI Automation – Developed and deployed a tool for daily health check which reduced 3-4 hrs. manual work. This is the biggest value-add in our project. This tool will check for errors in the ‘Event Viewer’. It also checks the log files for the current date for errors and certain folders for certain files to make sure the imp files arrived on time. It also checks the status of the main thread. The tool sends a pager alert to clients, if the errors are very serious and sends a mail to clients, if the errors are normal.
Mainframe health check – Developed and deployed a tool for daily health check of 5 mainframe applications which reduced 1 hour manual work. This tool will check around 150 jobs daily to make sure the jobs ran fine with error code less than 4. If not, it will trigger a mail to clients with the names of the jobs which did not run and names of the jobs which have error code greater than 4.
