Fund raise advisory:

• Advising a rapidly growing housing finance company backed by a conglomerate group engaged in multiple businesses, including food colors, renewable energy, and financial services, to raise growth capital to the tune of $50 million.
• Advising a digitally enabled BFSI-focused blockchain technology player to raise growth capital to the tune of $25 to $30 million via a Series A round of funding.

Sell-side M&A transaction:

• Advising a Hyderabad-based drug research and discovery company in selling their $ 12.5 Mn API products manufacturing business to a strategic player.
• Advising a homegrown conglomerate headquartered in Kolkata on hiving off its financial products distribution business to one of India’s largest life, property, and casualty insurance players for a deal size of $ 5 Mn.

Buy-side M&A transaction:

• Advising a Qatar-based largest terminal operator engaged in container, general cargo, and livestock business to acquire a significant majority stake in a ports company located in Odisha, handling a capacity of 25 MT p.a. Transaction size - $ 236 Mn (equivalent value for a 74% stake in the company).

Fund raise advisory:

• Advising India’s largest auto components manufacturer to raise funds from the private market to the tune of $ 250 Mn. Funds shall help it foray into auto components manufacturing for the EV business.
• Advising a HealthTech company engaged in Health insurance claim processing business to raise funds to the tune of $ 5 Mn.

Sell-side M&A transaction:

• The target company is a renowned IT Consulting & Services player engaged in providing financial technology solutions such as core banking, digital banking consulting, banking analytics and regulatory compliance, infrastructure, and managed services. Plans are currently to hive off the profitable consulting vertical for an aggregate deal value of ~USD 60 - 62.5 Mn.

Fund raise advisory:

• Advising a Li-Ion battery manufacturer for developing a business strategy plan & assist in raising growth capital to the tune of $ 30 Mn.

Sell-side M&A transaction:

• Successfully closed a strategic deal between Nazara Technologies Ltd looking to invest in Open Play Technologies Pvt Ltd a game developer company based out of Hyderabad (India) for ~$ 25.0 Mn
• Promoter at Inventys Ltd, a company engaged into manufacturing of Intermediates and Specialty Chemicals for Agro & Pharma sector was looking to offload some minority stake in the company for bringing a technology focused strategic partner.

Buy-side M&A transaction:

• Successfully closed a minority investment deal between Emami Ltd looking to invest in Aavrani a beauty & skincare brand based out of UK for ~$ 10.0 Mn
• Supported team on a minority investment deal between a Middle East based bakery leader - Switz Group and a Singapore based bakery chain - Baker & Cook Pte Ltd for deal value ~$ 12.5 Mn

Debt restructuring transaction:

• Supported team on a debt restructuring deal for ~$ 200 Mn for Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd

Fund raise advisory:

• The founding family at IndoGulf Cropsciences Ltd, engaged in the crop protection business, was looking to raise capital to the tune of $ 20 Mn both via primary and secondary sale.

Other BD initiatives:

• Supported senior colleagues in identifying multiple fundraising opportunities on both the M&A buy and sell sides, and successfully landed mandates with an average ticket size of approximately $ 10 Mn each.
• Gained sector experience across the Food & Beverage business, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare, Industrials, Manufacturing & Trading, Automotives, and Chemicals (Specialty, Commodity, and Agrochemicals).

• Prepared monthly business performance reports (segment-wise and business center-wise) for the management.
• Prepared projected financial statements.
• Filed quarterly IRDAI returns and complied with all mandatory regulations issued by the IRDAI.
• Built and updated Excel models, forecasted financials (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement), and valued the company using various valuation methods (relative valuation and DCF).

• Advised clients on matters related to the improvement of internal controls based on observations and findings from the review of various business processes.
