Summary

Board-certified neurologist with over 3+ years of transformative experience in building and leading one of the region’s most advanced neurology departments. Known for driving clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care, I successfully converted a non-functional neurology unit into a high-performing center with region-leading outcomes in stroke thrombolysis, neurocritical care, and complex case management.

I pioneered a dedicated Vertigo Centre with advanced Video Nystagmography (VNG) in collaboration with IIIT Delhi, enabling targeted and non-pharmacological management of vertigo—an initiative rarely seen outside metro cities. My clinical interests include acute stroke care, neuroimmunological disorders like NMO, MS, and MOG, as well as Parkinson’s disease, headache syndromes, and neuropsychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, and stress-related neurological illnesses.

I also lead an evening neurology OPD in the Garkheda region (7–9 PM), which serves as a convenient, empathetic care space for patients with routine and lifestyle-related neurological conditions. This practice allows me to integrate holistic care with a focus on mental health, functional recovery, and quality of life.

Passionate about medical education, I’m now committed to starting formal DNB Neurology training at our institute—merging structured academic mentorship with strong clinical exposure to shape the next generation of ethical and skilled neurologists.

Additionally, I maintain a strong presence on social media, actively creating awareness in Marathi and Hindi about early signs, prevention, and timely treatment of neurological diseases. Through regional outreach and digital engagement, I’ve helped reduce stigma, increase health literacy, and build community trust in neurological care.

I am now seeking a leadership role in a larger hospital setup where I can bring this momentum, scale up services, initiate teaching programs, and continue delivering high-quality, evidence-based neurological care with a human touch.

CONSULTANT and HEAD DEPARTMENT
04.2023 - Current

Job overview

  • Dedicated and forward-thinking neurologist with over 2.5 years of hands-on leadership experience in transforming a previously underperforming neurology department into one of the most advanced and trusted centers in the region. I played a pivotal role in establishing a high-functioning, protocol-driven stroke unit, which now ranks among the top three in regional stroke thrombolysis—known for its aggressive timelines, advanced imaging protocols, and excellent patient outcomes, even in the most complex cases.
  • My clinical interest in neuro-immunology led to the successful diagnosis and management of challenging cases such as NMO, MOGAD, and multiple sclerosis with a focus on precision-based immunotherapy. I also conceptualized and launched a dedicated **Vertigo Centre** equipped with advanced Video Nystagmography (VNG) in collaboration with IIIT Delhi—making it one of the first of its kind in the region. This innovation enabled drug-free, targeted treatment for triggered vertigo, vastly improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • In parallel, I established a high-standard neurocritical care service capable of managing severe neurological emergencies with cutting-edge interventions and ICU-based protocols. I’m deeply involved in evidence-based treatment of Parkinson’s disease, intractable headaches, and epilepsy, with a focus on multidisciplinary care, patient counseling, and long-term outcomes.
  • Now, as I move forward, I’m keen to complement my clinical practice with **formal teaching and academic mentorship**—laying the groundwork for initiating **DNB Neurology seats** within our institution. I believe that structured teaching not only strengthens departmental culture but also builds the next generation of neurologists aligned with ethical, evidence-based care.
  • Known for being audacious in vision and meticulous in execution, I thrive in building systems, training teams, and integrating technology for better care. I’m now looking to bring this momentum, strategic leadership, and clinical excellence to a larger hospital setup, further scaling comprehensive neuro services and academic excellence to new heights.
