  • Worked with Samrakshan Trust, Madhya Pradesh as a Project Coordinator to file for Community Forest Rights under the Forest Rights Act 2006 with the Sahariya Tribal Community, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PTVG)
  • Work involved organising ground level Gram Sabha meetings, following the procedures of filing for CFR under the Act, conducting the necessary meetings with the Community, liaisoning with District Level Forest and Administrative officials, documenting and mapping their traditional forest usage, burial grounds, traditional norms of harvesting specific plants and trees, seasonal grazing route etc, and finally collating it all to make a case for CFR over their traditionally accessed areas.

Presented a paper based on the study titled ‘“Human-Wildlife Conflict near Kuno Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh” which analysed losses in crop and livestock due to wildlife attacks and reviewed the existing compensation scheme in the area as a part of a team.
  • June 3 2010 – August 3 2010, KCCI Summer Internship Programme by UNICEF India, Selected for a two month project by UNICEF India. Conducted an extensive field work which sought to do an ethnographic study of the “Challenges to Elementary Education” in the Narayankhed District of Andhra Pradesh and presented a paper on the same to the Ministries of Education at the State level and Centre.
