Projects

6MeV Medical Linear Accelerator, Aug’2011 – Till date, This project is developed for Department of Information Technology (DIT), Govt. of India for treating cancer patient by external beam radiation therapy. Linear accelerator is used to treat all organs of the body. It delivers a uniform dose of high-energy X-ray to the region of the patient's tumour. These x-rays can destroy the cancer cells without damaging the surrounding normal tissue. SAMEER has installed & commissioned 4 MeV Medical Linear Accelerator at Govt. Medical College, Chandigarh as well as 6 MeV Medical Linear Accelerator at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science, Sewagram, Wardha-442101 & Old Cancer Institute, Adyar, Chennai-600020
