SOx IT Audit: I was part of a team in which I performed end to end testing of various financially relevant applications for one of the leading Oil & Natural Gas companies based in the UK. As part of this audit, I have tested IT General Controls for over 20 applications covering domains such access to programs and data(Application layer, database layer and cloud (AWS and Azure), change management and Computer Operations. I have also excelled in stakeholder management by ensuring the expectation of the clients are always delivered and have also ensured smooth reporting of the audit, issue identification as well as provision of issue remediation measures. Working alongside my team mates and seniors, I have also honed in my skill in team management as well as effective interpersonal communication.

Closure Verification: I am part of a team that is currently performing closure verification (Management Action Plan) for one of the leading investment banking firms based out of New York. As part of this project, my work revolves around understanding the issue that was raised, connecting and collaborating with cross functional teams for further understanding and obtaining evidence to ensure that the issue raised is resolved by performing Design adequacy testing as well as Operating effectiveness testing. I have further fine-tuned my stakeholder management as well as interpersonal skills to effectively manage and efficiently work alongside like-minded people as well as individuals with contrasting viewpoints.

Sox IT Audit for a leading NBFC: I was part of the team and also the lead tester wherein I performed end to end testing of various financially relevant applications for one of the prime NBFCs based out of Bangalore. As part of this audit, I was responsible for testing of over 15+ applications by actively scheduling and leading walkthroughs, follow-up discussions, evidence collection as well as documentation. I have covered domains such as access to programs and data, entitlement review, user access reviews, change management (using DevOps tools such as GitHub, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins), computer operations as well as IT Automated controls (ITAC). Being the lead tester, I have successfully identified process gaps, control deficiencies and have also suggested the remediation plans for the same that have been implemented by the client. As part of this audit, I was also involved in preparation of presentation regarding the status of the audit and providing timely updates regarding the progress and challenges to the client, thereby demonstrating active stakeholder management.

SAP Reports Testing: I co-led a team of 15+ individuals to ensure the completeness, accuracy and mathematical accuracy of the reports generated in SAP for one of the world’s largest alcoholic beverage company based out of London. As part of this project, I was tasked with testing the logic of various reports in SAP, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the data in over 100+ reports (Standard Reports and Customized Reports) that were generated. To test these reports, I collaborated with the client and teams in PwC Hungary to better understand the process and certain customized reports within SAP. During this project, I have successfully identified errors and miscalculations in the reports being generated and swiftly raised the same to the client, which have been appropriately remediated. As part of this project, I was effectively able to manage a team of 15+ individuals, encompassing a total report testing count of 350+ reports that were delivered well within the agreed timelines.

SOX ITGC Testing: During my time at EY GDS, I have performed ITGC testing (Design Effectiveness Test and Operating Effectiveness Test) for over 25+ clients covering a wide range of controls including Access and Identity Management, Change Management, Computer Operations and User Access Reviews. As part of the above mentioned testing experience, I have had the opportunity to work on various sectors such as Aviation, supply chain and logistics, healthcare, FMCG, food and beverages, Technology and Insurance to name a few.

IT Automated Controls and Infrastructure Testing: I have also contributed significantly in the testing of ITACs (IT Automated Controls) as I worked on over 100+ ITACs during my employment at EY. Some of the examples include Automatic depreciation calculation, Threshold basis approvals routing, updating of data in the master tables to name a few. I have also worked on IT Automated Controls in SAP for P2P and O2C processes, thereby gaining an overall experience in performing ITACs testing. Additionally, I have also performed infrastructure testing for Windows, Linux, Oracle, DB2, RACF and DB2.
