Project Procurement (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation + Capex)

• Understanding the technical specifications and requirement specified by the technical/user department.
• Preparation and issuance of commercial tenders, in line with project requirements, procurement policy, and timelines.
• Identification and shortlisting of potential vendors/suppliers based on vendor approval status, past performance, and technical acceptability.
• Conducting and coordinating pre-bid meetings with vendors to clarify scope of work, commercial terms, payment conditions, delivery schedules, and contractual clauses.
• Preparation of commercial comparative & negotiation statements based on a Reverse Auction (RA) and price negotiation highlighting estimates, last purchase price (LPP), historical data, and approved budgets to drive cost optimization.
• Release of LOI/LOA, Purchase Orders, and Work Orders post technical and budgetary approvals, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
• Handling contract management activities, including supplier coordination, resolution of commercial/contractual issues, invoice processing, and contract closure.
• Monitoring and processing of Bank Guarantees (BGs) submission, tracking, renewals, and timely release upon fulfilment of contractual obligations.

• Procurement of Maintenance, Repair and Operation categories and spares (Local & Foreign Vendors) for Cement Manufacturing Plants located in PAN-India.
• Understanding the technical specifications and requirements specified by user department.
• Preparation of request for quotation to the potential vendors.
• Ensures smooth coordination with user department and corresponding with suppliers on scope of supply and specifications.
• Coordinate with user department for review and technical evaluation sheet of obtained proposals.
• Negotiating and finalizing the commercial terms and conditions with vendors.
• Preparation of approval note and comparative with complete technical and commercial points for approval.
• PO preparation in SAP MM to the finalized vendor.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment's/materials as per specifications within the set delivery timeline and quality of material.
• Vendor Development. Developing new suppliers, cost reduction through development of alternate suppliers.
• Timely clearance of Payments and handling vendors queries by coordinating with accounts.

• Perform in-process inspection according to procedures and customer's specifications.
• Follow the checklist for preparing incoming Inspection report.
• Collaborating with operations manager to develop and implement control and improvements.
• Maintaining Rejection, Rework record.
• Preparing Vendor Rating as per Quality/delivery point of view.
• Monitoring and analysing quality performance.
• Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.
• Work with manufacturing staff and teams to ensure quality protocols are followed and implement any new changes based on a quality review.
• Analyse problems reported and develop improvements to overcome them.
• Perform final inspection of items including dimensional parameters to ensure that all quality requirements have been achieved.
• Analyze the result and decide the acceptance level of the final product.
