theknapsack: Motive of theknapsack is to educate the upcoming or experienced IT professionals . We are team of IT professionals from companies like VMware, Barclays, TCS, etc.

• Continued working on bazel
• Created new way of code deployment ( removed submit = deploy )
• CI/Cd work. Auto-Deploy packages and binaries.
• Created bash script to setup development environment on developers machine.
• Solved bunch of P0s, P1s etc while doing pagerduty.

POC (proof of concepts)

• Rewrote few services from python to Golang (brought execution time from 28sec to 3secs)
• Created Graphql API endpoint from prod databases

• Migrated buildsystem code from 32/64bit to support only 64bit . When catalina VMs were released then at that time it stopped support for 32bit only software.
• Integrated bazel to source code. Bazel helped us bring build time from 1.5 hrs to 2 minutes
• Removed source code dependency on NFS-mounts. Using subpar and bazel we packaged source code and removed NFS dependency
• Won "At our best award" at vmware for work

Tech used: Django, linux/macOS, puppet, NFS, bazel, docker, bash, Nginx

• Buildsystems is responsible for providing an internal application to Product teams through which teams can build, test and release their Products. Daily 40,000 build requests came on tool
• Provided buildsystems with Hashicorp Vault (Secret as a Service)
• Removed all passwords from source code and moved to vault made buildsystem more secure
• Designed and Deployed a highly available Vault system on a multi site environment

Tech used: docker, kubernetes, django, Hashicorp vault, VSphere

At Sabertooth problem definition was " Predict stock price movement based on the news sentiment of the stock"

Role:

• Lead team of 4 people
• Created python scrapping bots for collecting news from websites
• Developed python code to clean quant data and news data
• Developed and used various sentiment analysis model, deep learning LSTM models , etc.
